About Me

- I'm Leah Welborn, a writer, podcaster and freelance educator (i.e. tutor and occasional substitute teacher). I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (English Lit.), and I have an MFA (creative writing) from Antioch University. I also completed the necessary coursework for an MA in Art History from UT; I had a very profound change of heart about my career path and didn't complete my thesis, thus never earned the degree. I live in San Jose now, in a lovely little home with a garden, with a dog named Django Reinhardt and a cat named Mookie Jack. I also tutor students in the verbal portion of the infamous SAT.
